@drewmccormack ... and denormalization of your schema. But I achieved 100x speed ups over v1. Very happy now. It's a great wrapper!
@drewmccormack ... all NSEnumerators for "for in" loops makes a use difference 5) more than ever it all comes down to your SQL statements
@drewmccormack 2) wrote my own "managedobject" 3) you can turn of Quicklite's caching and sometimes you should, it's critical 4) replace...
@drewmccormack Yup, I'm a happy camper with QuickLite now. But 1) it took me 4 rounds of starting from scratch to get things scalable
@mja Thanks! That's a great compliment!
@drewmccormack Totally agree, Keyed archiving is dead simple but doesn't scale at all. Quicklite does make SQLite much easier though.
@drewmccormack For example, loading a keyed-archive of 1000 of my author objects takes already 3s (!) on the phone.
@drewmccormack For me that question was quickly clear, keyed-archiving very quickly runs out of breath when complexity and size go up..
Wow, #AWS #Cloudfront is the same price as S3 outgoing traffic, well done! There's the extra S3 costs but seems like a no-brainer to me.
#AWS #Cloudfront is really neat!
@dirkstoop LOL Now the only problem is that my new AI will arrive in NL where I'll only be in Dec, boy do I feel stupid now..
@j_timmer Also, you might want to add that as a good improvement step 1 is to replace all NSEnumerators by ObjC 2.0 "for in" calls.
@j_timmer Some added thoughts on QuickLite on the phone. I sometimes use its caches and sometimes only as a wrapper for direct calls.
My new MacBook Al has apparently already been attempted to be delivered, jay!!
@j_timmer After your advise a few months ago I decided to go for QuickLite for Papers for iPhone and it was a very good decision, thanks!
@mza Hahaha, same here! Expensive? Well it starts with $5 for Texas Holdem in the App Store ;-)
Pretty excited about the two interesting weeks ahead!
