RT @blogdiva: Paulson reiterates he doesn't want to help people losing their homes to the sub-prime mortgage meltdown. (me: appalling)
@joransen bus signs would go a lot further.. $355k on nascar? that's very expensive advertising..
then I read http://bit.ly/LapX from WSJ.. realized it was for real. The FCC could really use some help on that. Stupid pork barrel waste.
what? FCC spent $355k sponsoring Nascar to promote digital TV? http://bit.ly/LapX At first thot "FCC’s NASCAR Car Crashes Again" was joke.
motrin situation is interesting. im seeing many men not understanding the problem. and many women sympathizing. not all.. but many..
@TJCNYC yes, but my point is, you can't conflate these two things, that motrin may have done in creating ad, as you suggest.
@TJCNYC but Juno didn't involve a mother carrying the baby after birth, nurturing it then. it was pre birth. no one takes motrin prebirth.
@1938media complaints from #motrinmoms caused motrin ads to be dropped last night. that's big.
@MaryTrigiani yes.. but ads playng to neg associations w/ infants seem like not well thot idea. & many who don't thnk that way -> offense
another.. motrin ad seems to make fun of why parents have kids: caring 4 infants just anther thing == doing laundry, instead of deeply emoti
i think 1 reason motrin ad doesn't work is it works against parents bonds with infants.. kind of a bad subject to be snarky about
others abt motrin thot it insulted moms because it implied women had kids as an "accessory" to look cool...
interesting reading the comments back to @davewiner who didn't understand why motin ad was offensive. some thot it was a mom thing...
RT @tedr: 185 Comments on Robert Reichs post 'If They're Too Big To Fail, They're Too Big Period' http://is.gd/4uqq. (me: great pt..read it)
from breakfast cabal list: what would Jesus do? http://tinyurl.com/6fcmyr Solar. esp if u r KKK "burner"
total fees for one fully automated LiveNation transaction: $57.15 for 4 tix. wow.. got email receipt. freaking crazy. who are those people?
LiveNation is evil. $10.95 per tix handling fee, PLUS $5.15 order fee? The music industry needs to get real. tix w. 22.5% surcharges? yikes.
@tedr @efalk got the willie nelson tix for 1/16 but can you believe LiveNation charges $10.95 per tix handling fee. Ridiculous.
told @efalk theres a 96% chance cats were trying to kill us: http://www.heyquiz.com/quiz... He said: "that low huh" w.o missing beat
@leapingwoman yeah.. kinda can't believe Motrin thot that ad was a good idea. it's low level hostility is terrible toward parent. yikes.
