jeresig

Just buried my uncle, Ray Curtain. He was a great man and will be missed.

jeresig I will say one thing about Stallman: His work ethic and process are flawless. I forgot to reply to an email and BAM there he is.
jeresig At Jax, we'll probably sit upstairs. Bleed into the Pyhon meetup.
jeresig Just let the Jax Bar know that there's about 14 of us coming for dinner at 6pm. Have about 1-2 slots left, ping me if you can make it.
jeresig Dinner: 6pm at Jax - before the Python meetup: http://oscon.pdxpython.org/ My # is: 617-909-2904. Ping me if you're coming.
jeresig Anyone interested in grabbing dinner tonight - here in Portland?
jeresig Man, this morning's talk was grueling - 3.5 hours is rough. I think people got a lot out of it, though. Huge mix in skill levels is tricky.
jeresig In my hotel in Portland - ready for my OSCON tutorial tomorrow at 8:30am. *cries* I hope you guys will be awake, can't guarantee I will be.
jeresig Out of curiousity I did a "cat * | wc" on my book: exactly 38,000 words so far. Over 4200 per chapter.
jeresig Furiously trying to put as much content on my laptop, as possible, to keep myself entertained for the next 16 days of travel.
jeresig Wrote a little bit up on my DOM DocumentFragment explorations: http://bit.ly/documentfragment
jeresig Taking a break and watching the sox down at the precinct.
jeresig Ok - so the first two hours of the talk will be on: Testing, functions, closures, and prototypes. Congealing the final hour.
jeresig I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to get the OSCON attendees engaged at 8:30am. My talk is super-dense, hard to gauge time.
jeresig Furiously working on my OSCON presentation while its furiously storming outside.
jeresig DOM DocumentFragments rule. So very hard. Never had a real use for them before now - but now I've got tons. Must sleep, though!
jeresig Making Ham Pot Pie, a family staple. Guess which part of the country my family originates from? http://tinyurl.com/65w7dj
jeresig Things to write while I'm traveling at the end of this month: A Mediawiki to Docbook convertor that doesn't produce horrible output.
jeresig Just saw the new .offset() numbers posted by @brandonaaron: ~5x faster and 1/2 as many lines. http://bit.ly/3oDtVu Want to see the code!
jeresig Being very confused after watching the trailer, I just picked up the Watchmen novel. It's great living next to a comic book store.
