@axliu The director will remain nameless for the time being, since there's still a chance (albeit a small one) that he'll repent.
Just left deadbeat director's office. Am actually physically shaking with anger. What irredeemable fucks.
@Richardphx My poor old Palm T5 is showing its age. I'm tempted to upgrade Pleco, but I'm not sure it'd have the necessary horsepower.
@beijingboyce @chinabuzz How late into the night is this fabulous deal available?
@frankyu Look, Alan Greenspan may be to blame for relaxing gov't regulation of banks, but that's no reason to go calling names.
@niubi Maybe if it were Yahoo -- dunno how Baidu rates on people's radars. Or maybe they're waiting for ESWN to do a piece they can rip off.
@niubi The CCTV/Baidu thing is in today's Marbridge Daily, or at least will be.
Goddammit, no sleep.
@papajohn ...where "used properly" means "used by Sinologists and not Taiwanese people." Anyway, Pinyin.info should have a conversion table.
@imagethief I'm out of date now, but as I recall: iAcces was great for HW input; iCosta, for straight Pinyin; WeFIT for 简体/繁体 switching. ...
@imagethief iAcces - but if you're just looking for a good Pinyin IME, go for WeFIT or iCosta. WeFIT's advantage is that it can do 繁体.
@papajohn Wade-Giles is actually good when it's used properly (almost never) -- easy to learn and in some ways more accurate than Pinyin.
@papajohn ...makes you realize what a sad facade "international" cities like BJ and SH are. I haven't seen a single Manichean here!
@papajohn Also, re your observations in GZ: read 'The Golden Peaches of Samarkand.' About trade and internationalism in the Tang Dynasty...
@papajohn iAcces. Ever feel the need to input Chinese via Cangjie, Wubi, Sucheng, Zhuyin, Jyutping, etc. on your phone? Now you can!
@fuzheado Agreed on 3rd-party input potential for Chinese -- check out the iAcces [sic] IME, which goes WAY beyond the norm for IMEs.
@imagethief @papajohn @shelisrael There's a good 3rd-party handwriting IME that licenses HanWang's OCR. Much better recognition, and faster.
@niubi Are you using a Japanese Wii? I've been trying to find a way of flashing the firmware to get English on mine, but no luck so far.
@flypig Hey, he could Twitter our subsequent arrest from his Blackberry. 很好,很强大,很2.0.
@flypig The whole crowd. No need to make it laowai-only; why not Lao Luo and Zuola and company too? I won't make it to CNbloggercon, so...
