The more books you read to your toddler, the more words she’ll learn. It’s just that simple.
Tip of the Day: Make sure you aren't the only one reading with your child. Leave books out for sitters, grandparents, and other guests.

0-6 Month Old Reading Tip: Your baby will look at the pictures but may not reach out to touch the pages (yet).
How to read aloud: Vary your tone and volume, look for books with rhythm and rhyme, or make up your own story if the book is wordless.
Reading Tip: Make mistakes during re-readings of a favorite story on purpose and see what your toddler says.
Is it BA-bar, or ba-BAR? It doesn’t really matter. Even if you mispronounce a name, your baby will think it's the perfect way to read.
There's no need to read every story word for word. If your toddler loves to imitate, just point to objects and name them.
