Rapid City is gearing up for Hot Summer Nights on 7th Street tonight, which will include a tribute to veterans and active duty personnel.

Drove through Faith to see Sue the T-Rex, on loan from Chicago. Faith is tiny, but the Sue exhibit is pretty huge. Worth the trip.

Thanks to thunderstorms, heavy rain in Deadwood and Sturgis, but the rest of the Black Hills are mostly clear.

Watched Bear Butte last night backlit against a lightning storm. One of the most dramatic things I've ever seen in the Black Hills.

Haze is back, coming from California & Canada. It doesn't smell smoky, but the sun is pretty obscured. At least it's cool outside!

Haze from California fires has lifted, and the weather is amazing. In the high 80s today with completely sunny skies. Wish I was hiking.
